Tango Octogenario: broadcast on Backdrop NYC, NYC TV
Wednesday, November 19, 2008, 9:00 p.m. and Sunday, November 23, 8:05 p.m.
I'll be co-hosting on Backdrop NYC, a show that features “buzz-worthy short films about New Yorkers, for New Yorkers, by New Yorkers.” This half-hour show features three films, including the very beautiful Rubber Soles by Christine Turner and the clever Peanut Butter & Graduation by Greg Condon. Tango Octogenario will screen last. They'll be cute banter and some insight into the making of Tango.

A Life’s Work: production presses on.
In June we followed a renowned astronomer up the side of an inactive volcano. We got some great footage.

The filmmakers responsible for A Life's Work want you to feel good about yourself. We can think of no better way to make this happen than by offering you the opportunity to become a patron of the arts.

I'm contributing to Extra Criticum, a blog devoted to commentary on the performing arts by artists. This is a forum meant to elevate the conversation beyond the narrow approach taken by professional critics. Mosty, I write about film. Big surprise.
